The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency stated it's alarmed about the higher number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a website higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office committed to service the area each day. The service level established for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of possible beneficiaries, more info that makes it complicated for the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to help the servicing of all consumers and enhance usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
